About Dainty Dames Events

Dainty Dames Events began with two performers, a shared creative streak, and an idea for making murder mystery entertainment a whole lot more memorable.

Founded by Jillian Burgos and Renee Dorian-Begley, Dainty Dames combines professional performance, original storytelling, comedy, improv, puzzles, and audience participation to turn parties into experiences guests actually become a part of. Today, our performers bring the mystery to private parties, company events, celebrations, and other gatherings in Greater Los Angeles and Metro Atlanta, with every event built around one essential idea: getting people involved and having a killer time.

It All Started With Two Partners In Crime
Renee and Jillian first began working together in Los Angeles in 2009. Renee was managing the West Coast branch of another murder mystery company when Jillian auditioned for the cast. Before long, Jillian became an assistant director, and the two discovered that their backgrounds and creative instincts made a particularly dangerous combination.

Jillian brought experience in theatre, writing, and forensic anthropology. Renee brought years of experience in acting, writing, production, and entertainment. After being commissioned to create a custom show, they saw an opportunity to build something of their own: murder mysteries with stronger writing, more freedom to customize, plenty of improv, and characters that gave a wider variety of performers and guests a chance to shine.

That first original interactive mystery eventually led to ongoing performances at prominent Hollywood venues, and Dainty Dames Events was off and running.

A Dainty Dames event is designed to pull guests into the story, not leave them sitting on the sidelines. Depending on the mystery, guests may follow clues, question suspicious characters, solve puzzles, take on roles, form teams, or find themselves unexpectedly caught up in the crime.

Our performers blend scripted storytelling with improv, allowing each event to respond to the energy and personalities in the room.
