F.A.Q.
Hi, so you’re planning a murder mystery? Don’t know where to start? It’s all good. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, holiday party, team building, bachelorette party, wedding or divorce, no occasion is too big or too small. You came to the right place. We are your partners in crime for planning your perfect murder OR just mystery!
Where will you have your event?
You can hold your event in a restaurant, peerspace, AirBnb or in the comfort of your own home. You just need a space large enough for your guests to enjoy dinner and get up and investigate. All spaces must be only for YOU and your guests, we can not perform for everyone in an open public space. Sorry!
How far in advance should I start planning?
It’s never too early to start planning your event. The earlier you plan gives you a big advantage. You can lock in your preferred venue and date much easier if you plan in advance. If you are thinking of hosting a holiday show, we suggest planning 3-6 months in advance. We try our best to accommodate last minute shows.
How much should I budget?
We try our best to work with most budgets! Pricing depends on a lot of variables: location, size of party, date and time, etc.
What do I get with a Dainty Dames Events Murder Mystery?
A murder mystery show with Dainty Dames Events is like no other murder mystery. We wanted to bring a higher caliber of show to you. Our shows are carefully scripted to include a murder mystery, scavenger hunt, custom puzzle that comes to you.Think a murder mystery meets an escape room!
Should my guests play characters?
It’s always up to our client’s but most always choose to play! What’s better than seeing your loved ones or co-workers get to be in the spotlight? Though, it does depend on the size of your party. If you have more than 12 guests, some will play suspects, some will work together as their teammates. Should you choose not to have guests play suspects, more actors will need to be hired on!
Should I plan this as a surprise?
In most cases, we say no. Imagine that your boss or loved one planned this amazing event and you didn’t get to wear the outfit you would have worn or got in the mindset of the world of the game before the show. Many times it ends up being a missed opportunity for the guest to prepare in the way they would have liked to if they had only known.
